    Driving in and around Puerto Varas you will be impressed by the lush landscape of the lakes Llanquihue and that of “Todos Los Santos “, both surrounded by very rich flora and fauna as well as breathtaking views of the volcano Osorno with its perfect cone, green slopes and snowy peaks. You will also notice the strong influence of German settlers here.
    Today you will have the possibility to go on a hike at the foot of the volcano Osorno. Moreover, in the afternoon you will drive to the National Park “Vicente Perez Rosalez” and visit the impressive rapids of "Saltos Del Petrohue" near the lake "Todos los Santos".

    Today begin your journey on the Carretera Austral by driving towards the south. On the way, visit the thermal baths of Ralún, which can be reached only by boat. Continue by driving on the unpaved section of the Carretera Austral where the dream route awaits you in its full beauty.

    Hornopiren - Caleta Gonzalo / Pumalin National Park

    To catch the ferry service to Caleta Gonzalo you will have to go through Hornopirén. This ferry service consists of two ferries and operates as follows: A first ferry will take you from Hornopirén to Leptepú in about 3.5 hours. Then once in Fiordo Largo you will take a second ferry to Caleta Gonzalo (crossing will be 45 minutes). Once on solid ground again, you will pass through the Pumalin National Park.

    Pumalin National Park

    Today you will have time to explore the beautiful Pumalin National Park. The park offers many hiking trails with magnificent viewpoints, it is one of Chile's largest private national park; you will enjoy wonderful walks through centuries-old Alerce forests. Alerces (Patagonian cypresses) are huge trees, some specimen date back to 3600-years ago and are among the oldest living creatures on earth.
