A 17-day trip through Chile - discover this versatile country from the Atacama desert in the north to the southernmost Patagonia. The tour will start in the Andean metropolis of Santiago de Chile and then to know the port city of Valparaiso; You will end up with a visit to the Torres del Paine National Park on a 3-day trek.
The ideal travel time to visit Patagonia will be the southern summer, from October to April; From January to February is the high season. The rest of Chile can be visited all year round.

    Arrival in Santiago de Chile

    Overnight: Santiago de Chile
    At the airport, you will be expected by your English-speaking guide who will take you to your hotel. After checking in, you will discover the sights of Santiago by taking a city tour, which will include the Presidential Palace, the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral and the San Cristobal Hill, from where you will have a nice view of the entire city and of the Andean peaks. You will also visit the Mercado Central (central market) with its rich selection of fresh fish and seafood. Here we will have a great tip for your optional lunch in a small typical restaurant.

    Overnight: Santiago de Chile
    Today you will visit Valparaíso, the most important port city in Central Chile. Valparaíso is like a natural amphitheater right on the Pacific and is famous for the colorful houses, which are adventurously built on the numerous hills surrounding the city. You will first visit "La Sebastiana", the house of the Nobel Prize Pablo Neruda, which is now open as a museum for visitors. Afterwards you will start your tour through the colorful streets of the harbor city, whose center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and surely will be enchanted by its unique flair. Of course, a ride with the typical cableways of the city is unmissable. Before returning to Santiago, you will go on a boat trip of the port so to get a completely different view of the city.

    Moon and Death Valley in the Atacama Desert

    Overnight: San Pedro de Atacama
    In the morning, you will take a private transfer to the airport to check in for your flight to Calama. Once there, you will be greeted by your guide and continue through the desert to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. You will have time to rest and lunch at your hotel before visiting the Moon valley and the Death Valley in the afternoon, two magical places where you will also enjoy a spectacular sunset over the dunes and the huge volcanoes in the background.

    Geysirs El Tatio

    Overnight: San Pedro de Atacama
    Today you will travel to El Tatio's geysers very early. Due to the morning air pressure fluctuations one can see these geysers in action best on early mornings, at sunrise. You will take breakfast directly at the geysers and happily watch the nature spectacle from a close up. There is also the possibility to take a relaxing bath in the hot thermal water. Before you leave the Highlands, you will visit the typical Andean village of Machuca, where you will meet the inhabitants of the High Plains.
    The afternoon is at leisure. To stroll around the market or to visit the ruins of an ancient fortress of the Atacama culture.
    Optionally you can participate in the evening on a clear sky, in a star observation (available depending on the moon phase and weather conditions) - the Atacama Desert offers one of the most beautiful starred skies in the world!

    Highland Lagoons and Salt Flat

    Overnight: San Pedro de Atacama
    Today you will visit the National Park "Los Flamencos", with its breathtaking landscapes of lagoons and volcanoes. In addition, you will surely get some deserts animals like lamas, flamingos or alpacas in front of the lens of your camera. We continue to Salar De Atacama, the largest salt lake of Chile and the third largest in the world. It stretches over an area of ??300000ha and offers with the seemingly endless white desert an impressive sight.
